Main Floor Plan

Oliver, Machado and Associates are located in the heart of one of the most exciting cities, Atlanta, GA. This Atlanta office is a national advertising agency whose won many awards because their vibrant and energetic design approach to advertisement. Oliver, Machado and Associates easily blended in to the 10,000 sq. ft. building shell into a dynamic ADA-compliant interior of functional work spaces, a sense of hierarchy as well as its open floor plan which makes it more of casual space. Taking into consideration the company’s present position within the industry, as well as its future growth potential.
It was important to have flexible workstations that maximizes the company’s ability to respond to change and capitalize on bringing natural light into the environment. The concept for the firm is to create a functional, progressive and exciting space that allows the company’s continuous capital growth. With the concerns of energy efficiency, an overall space will be designed efficiently and use environmentally friendly products to keep energy costs down.

The design of the space is based on an open linear organizational plan, which contributed to a direct hierarchal system. The space utilizes smooth and non-offensive colors to reinforce the professionalism of the company as well as encourage productivity. The result is an energetic environment that reflects the vision and theory within Oliver, Machado and Associates.

Initial Sketch and Furniture

Above are examples of how the concept evolved from theory to applying the space and furniture. The initial sketch of the floor plan incorporates the corporate world of hierarchy level. Furniture will vary from honeycomb-shaped workstations to a typical associate level office furniture setup.

Lobby Perspective

Upon entering the offices, the lobby begins to display the aesthetics of nature. The receptionist counter is finished in high gloss green to remind one of nature and given an organic feel.

Break Room Perspective

The perspective displays the kind of environment the company is all about. The break room is equipped with its own kitchen, refrigerator and a vending machine. It also has modern cabinetry and a locker system for employees. A stainless steel wall is integrated into the space which serves as a dry erase surface for ideas and inspiration.

Furniture

The picture above shows the inspiration for the kitchen area of the break room. The materials used for cabinetry is high-gloss wood. Also shown are a table and two types of seating, one that is conventional and the other being a lounge-type with a detachable lap top tray.
