ADVANCED RESIDENTIAL

First Level

After carefully studying Frank and Ruby Ramey, I’ve come to a conclusion that the design of the space should not dictate their lifestyle rather their lifestyle should dictate the space. Bringing in their likes of traditional and contemporary styles. The couple at the time were in their 60’s and are both starting to experience some medical problems. Ruby is recovering from hip surgery and often walks with a cane and Frank is often forgetful about things and has problems seeing far. Both the bathroom and kitchen are ADA compliant and also would like to bring them more up to date sense of style by going with neutral color palette from Ivory to muted reds.

I also designed a new look to the Victorian style that Ruby loves by mixing them with a contemporary twist with their furnishing. Frank plays the guitar and loves to sing and write songs. He is going to have a room dedicated to his passion in music. Each space is going to have a different feel to them also considering circulation.

Master Bathroom Sketches

The master bathroom is designed around the couples ideal love for the Victorian setting mixed with contemporary designs. The sketch above shows a corner shot of the master tub with a fireplace operated with a safety gas unit with an easy on/off switch. The master bathroom also has a his and hers vanity and extra seating in the space.
