About

I am a recent graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta with a BFA in Interior Design. At the Art Institute I was given the great honor of having my projects in the study of Advanced Residential, Advanced Corporate, Hospitality and Specialty used by the college as examples of exemplary work for their recent accreditation process. In addition, I have over 5 years of residential and retail experience.

I got my start in design when I received my first degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design in Jacksonville, FL in 2003. I began working at a local home builder as a Design Specialist selecting products and materials for upgrades. It was then that I was introduced into the world of Interior Design. In 2004, I chose to relocate in Atlanta, GA to pursue a degree in Interior Design. While attending the Art Institute of Atlanta, I really developed my passion for design. I was inspired by a professor who taught me that design should come from within and encouraged me to take my energy and ideas and venture outside the box rather than be constricted. While working towards my degree, I was a Design Trainee at Crate and Barrel in Atlanta and then Interned for Hirsch Bedner and Associates.

There is a systematic approach to my design. First, I develop a concept based on the initial inspiration, than I collect an analysis of the concept. Finally, pulling everything together, I execute the plan.

I have over 5 years experience working with AutoCAD and CAD Architecture 2004 and 2008, and along with that concentration, I have excellent hand rendering skills and free hand drawing techniques. While attending the Art Institute of Atlanta, I have gained experience in Space Planning, Furniture, Fixture and Equipment selection as well as proficiency in Photoshop CS3.
